Can I use Drive-way Gravel for hydroponics ? ?

I am a cannabis grower ( Medical Patient ) and I made my Homemade Hydroponic , the thing is , I have no idea what types of gravel I can use . I'm cheap and I figured I can just use some off the driveway , but don't know if its a good idea ! Please , if some one has experience on growing , I would appreciate the tips ! Thank you .
